In a matrix, the idea is that the child combines the elements of the horizontal row with those in the vertical row. In this way, you focus on the development of positioning, recognizing patterns, serial thinking, classifying, using logic, two-way thinking, ... All preparatory mathematical skills that are necessary to arrive at more profound mathematical processes later.

Matrices are often practiced on paper, but did you know that it can also be done with concrete material? Same outcome, but much more fun! And a motivated child learns better.
